Not on the block lists

STBet review

By Ahrefs' estimates, STBet draws more Sri Lankan searches than any other betting brand we measured, and it was not on either of the August block lists. It is a sportsbook with a lot of racing, and on 8 September we found no casino games in its menus. Here is what is on it and how it compares with Sportway.

STBet
stbet.com refused visitors from outside Sri Lanka when we went back, so we have no current screenshot.

What we liked

  • Cricket first, with a Cricket Specials section
  • Plenty of racing, greyhounds and virtual races
  • Runs in English, Sinhala and Tamil

What to know

  • No casino games found in its menus
  • No licence number on its public pages
  • No public list of payment methods

Why this page exists

We earn a commission when a reader opens a Sportway account through our links, and nothing from STBet. We cover STBet anyway, because a page about betting in Sri Lanka that leaves out the site most people search for would not be worth reading.

This page describes stbet.com as we read it on 8 September 2026. When we went back on 25 September, stbet.com refused visitors from outside Sri Lanka, so where we cannot see something, we say so.

What it is

STBet runs at stbet.com under the heading "Sri Lanka No 1 Online Betting Site". It is part of the Sporting Times brand, which also runs news, results and careers sections, and its Facebook page describes the site as "Powered by Sporting Times" from an address on York Street, Colombo. In March 2026 the Sunday Times named STBet as an established local online betting site. The site runs in English, Sinhala and Tamil.

What you can bet on

Cricket comes first, with a Cricket Specials section above every other sport. Then football, with its own specials, and about fifteen more: basketball, tennis, badminton, rugby, snooker, boxing, Formula 1, golf, UFC and others.

Racing is a big part of it. Horse racing from the UK, Australia, France, Germany and elsewhere, greyhounds from the UK and Australia, and Australian harness racing.

Virtual products fill the gaps between real fixtures. Virtual racing from TrackSide and Kiron, virtual cricket including Super Over, and a few quick games such as Keno and Racing Roulette.

What we could not find

No casino games that we could find. We found no slots, no live dealer tables, no crash games like Aviator and no fishing games anywhere in its menus. If that is what you played on a blocked site, STBet did not look like a replacement for it.

No licence number on its public pages. We could not find a licence number or a regulator named on the parts of the site you can see without an account. That is not an accusation. It is what we could and could not see.

No public list of payment methods. Deposits and withdrawals appear to sit behind a login, so we cannot tell you what STBet accepts.

Hotline, app and login

STBet's Facebook page gives its hotline as +94 112 577 900 and its email as [email protected], lists its hours as always open, and gives an address on York Street, Colombo. It also runs a WhatsApp channel.

We did not look at STBet's app on 8 September, and when we went back on 25 September stbet.com refused visitors from outside Sri Lanka, so we cannot describe the app or the login page.
