Sri Lanka have lost the services of Wanindu Hasaranga for the remainder of the ODI series against England. Hasaranga is due to return to the island after suffering pain in his lower back area during training.
Hasaranga sustained the injury at a training session while preparing for the first ODI played on the 22nd. Accordingly, the team management has stated that he will not be able to play in the remaining matches of the ODI series.
Hasaranga, who will therefore return to the island from England, is due to begin the treatment programme required to recover from his injury.
