Pathum Nissanka ruled out of ODI series – a chance for Lahiru Udara
Sri Lanka CricketNews article
Sri Lanka Cricket has announced that Pathum Nissanka will not join the Sri Lanka squad named for the tri-nation ODI series featuring Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka.
The decision was taken because Nissanka, who sustained a left hamstring injury during Sri Lanka's recently concluded tour of England, has not yet received the medical clearance required to return to competitive cricket.
Accordingly, Lahiru Udara has been named in the Sri Lanka ODI squad in place of Pathum Nissanka. The tri-series is set to be played in Pakistan, with hosts Pakistan, Sri Lanka and England taking part.
